The 'Pspsps' Trick: Why It Actually Gets Your Cat's Attention

Ever wonder why calling 'pspsps' works better than shouting your cat's name? Experts say the sharp, high-pitched sound mimics small prey noises, tapping into a cat's natural curiosity and hunting instincts. It cuts through background noise and grabs attention fast, even from cats who usually ignore everything else. Next time your indoor kitty tunes you out, try the sound test yourself. And if you're relaxing on a Fort Lauderdale patio or a Miami balcony, don't be surprised if it summons every neighborhood cat within earshot too.
