What to Ask Before Hiring a Dog Walker

Handing over your house key—and your best friend—to a dog walker is a big trust exercise, so it pays to ask the right questions upfront. Find out about their experience with your dog's breed or energy level, how they handle emergencies, and whether they offer updates like photos or GPS tracking during walks. Also ask about scheduling flexibility, backup coverage if they're sick, and how they handle reactive or nervous pups. In South Florida's heat, confirm they walk during cooler hours and always carry water—because even the most reliable walker should keep your pup safe and happy under that Florida sun.
